Solaro Gin is born in Capri and entirely handmade in Italy: from the clay of the iconic handmade bottle to every handpicked local botanical that is distilled in a 4th generation distillery and made in batches of less than 1000 bottles; each of which take a week to make by Italian artisans. Our main ingredient is hand picked lemon blossoms (Zagara) gathered from Capri’s highest mountain, the Monte Solaro; from which we also get our name. We also use Myrtle (Mirto) berries from Sorrento which bring character, red juniper from Cilento is the other main botanical, Amalfi lemon peel and leaf extracts bring a gentle burst of citrus, and hand roasted Neapolitan coffee compose the smooth tasting gin.
