The palate is lively, brooding, and firm, with a concentrated core of dark fruits layered with savoury, herbal nuances. Finishes dry and lifted, with fine-grained tannins. Best decanted an hour before serving. Gran Selezione is a relatively new category of premium Chianti Classico wines, sourced exclusively from estate vineyards. This 100% Sangiovese wine was aged two years in large Slavonian oak casks, giving it subtle wooded character. The magnum comes in a beautiful wooden case.
