The Original Gin De France
G’VINE, ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS SUPER-PREMIUM GINS IN THE WORLD, IS CELEBRATED ITS 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY IN PARIS ON MAY 31ST 2017, ON THE ROOFTOP OF GALERIES LAFAYETTE.
The French gin brand G’Vine continues to win new fans and is now one of the world’s top four best-selling super premium gins (source: IWSR 2016), just ten years after it was launched in 2006. Founded by Maison Villevert, G’Vine was one the forerunners in the rise of premium gins during the 2000s, and received awards at numerous international competitions.
On 31st May 2017, in Paris, on the occasion of its tenth anniversary, G’Vine will be unveiling its new look, a complete modernisation of the brand, intended to affirm the codes that made it so successful and the taste of this truly unique gin.
Distilled from grapes, infused with vine flower, brimming with style
G’Vine is created in France from grapes, combined with ten botanicals that are carefully selected and distilled, including juniper, cardamom, ginger and vine flowers, G’Vine’s signature botanical and most precious ingredient. This delicate flower blooms for just a few days in the month of June before it transforms into grapes. Carefully handpicked while it is still in bloom, to preserve its exhilarating aromas, it is then carefully distilled in a Florentine still, traditionally used by master perfumers, giving G’Vine its fresh and floral notes.
In the final stage of the process, vine flowers and aromatic plants are blended for the final distillation in a copper still that has been designed especially for G’Vine. It is from this complex alchemy that G’Vine is born.
G’Vine’s incomparable freshness and roundness is expressed in a G’Vine & Tonic, providing an incredibly sensory experience.
“I created G’Vine because I wanted to create something new in super-premium gin. I wanted an elegant, silky sophisticated gin. I believe that i achieved this by replacing the traditional grain with grapes spirit. I am convinced that grapes bring more complexity and elegance to the categories we work in. For me being unconventional means breaking accepted rules for the benefit of the drink and our consumer. I think this is what we have managed to do this with G’Vine creating a huge success in just ten years” says Jean-Sébastien Robicquet, the creator of G’Vine and founder of Maison Villevert.”
The new G’Vine bottle retains its characteristic shape and key identity (unmistakable slightly curved shape and shaded light green colour, and wide cap). Some new attributes now reinforce its natural elegance and luxury positioning: the bottle is engraved with the brand’s codes, which underscores G’Vine’s unique personality, while the embossed logo enhances its signature colour and brightness, making it more recognizable in crowded bars and shops. The new metalized cap is perhaps the biggest change offering a more luxurious feel.
Maison Villevert has more than 80 employees and an annual turnover of nearly 60 million euros. It aims to reach €100 million by 2020 and become one of the leading global middle-market companies in the world of spirits. In 2016 Jean-Sébastien Robicquet was voted entrepreneur of the year by Charente Libre, for the whole of the Charente region.
